To trade during news events, you must purchase the News Trading Add-on.
Restriction Window (Without Add-on)
Trading is restricted around high-impact (red folder) events listed on Forex Factory.

Before News | 10 minutes prior |
After News | 10 minutes after |
What Counts as News Trading
The following actions within the restricted window are considered violations:
Opening new trades
Closing trades in profit or loss
Modifying positions (SL/TP adjustments)
Violation Handling
If a violation occurs:
Profits generated during the restricted window will be deducted
Repeated violations may result in account review or breach
With the Add-on
If you have the News Trading Add-on:
You are allowed to trade during news events
All other risk rules still apply

Always check the economic calendar before trading
Avoid holding trades into major news releases
Plan entries outside restricted windows
